A graduate of the class of 2002, Casey was a player that made great strides throughout his La Jolla football career. Casey started out as an undersized freshman defensive lineman. Upon reaching the varsity level he switched positions and started learning the corner and safety positions. Although he only weighed 140 pounds he always exhibited an aggressive and determined attitude.

Casey became a major contributor to the Viking secondary in 2002. He scored 50 defensive points and was a solid special teams player. His best performance came against Serra High School when he made seven tackles and scored 19 defensive points. In his final high school game against St. Augustine High in the CIF quarter-finals he was selected Special Teams Player of the Game. Casey was also an excellent student. He was a two-time member of the County All-Academic Football Team and carried a 3.42 GPA. Photos of Casey can be found in the 2002 photo section.
