IGOR SERIBA

Igor was a standout receiver in the Viking program who made major contributions in the defensive secondary when he was asked to help due to injuries to starting players. Although he played mostly receiver Igor finished his Viking career with 55 total defensive points. He was in on 15 tackles, made two interceptions, recorded one pass break up and recovered one fumble.  On the offensive side of the ball Igor notched 30 career receptions for 400 yards. He had a 13.3 yard per reception average and scored two touchdowns. Igor also returned three kickoffs for 48 total yards and in 2006 he was awarded the team’s Most Improved Offensive Player Award. He was also recognized as an Honorable Mention All-League receiver his senior year. Igor was also an accomplished scholar and carried a 3.45 GPA. In both 2005 and 2006 he was recognized as an Outstanding Scholar-Athlete by the San Diego Union-Tribune. Igor was also a standout three sport athlete. In addition to football he was an outstanding guard on the Viking basketball team and was one of the county’s top triple jumpers in track and field.
