A three year varsity letterman and a Graduate of the class of 2005 Larry was the leader of the Star Chamber his senior year and a two year starter at cornerback in the Viking secondary. Larry teamed up with fellow corner Nick Hendricks and the outstanding safety duo of Chris Jones and Alex Novick to form one of the most productive secondaries in the history of La Jolla football. In 2004 in an 11 game season only one opponent was able to surpass the 100 yard mark in passing yardage. The Viking secondary was able to limit Division III CIF Champions Valley Center to 94 total passing yards on 8 completions in 26 attempts.

In his senior season Larry was credited with 104 total defensive points. He was in on 27 tackles, had 8 break-ups, recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown. These senior totals combined with his junior and sophomore totals resulted in career marks that included 66 tackles (47 unassisted), 2 interceptions, 17 break-ups, one blocked kick and 2 recovered fumbles. He finished his Viking career with 251 defensive points. Larry capped his senior season by being recognized as an outstanding student-athlete by the San Diego Union- Tribune and was selected an Honorable Mention All Western League player.
