Chris was an outstanding safety for the Vikings from 2010 to 2011. He was known for his physical play that was coupled with a tremendous amount of athleticism that allowed him to play aggressively on run support while at the same time exhibiting exceptional pass coverage skills on pass. Although he was slowed down by injury at times he still managed to make significant contributions on the field that are now reflected in the Viking record book. He had a solid junior year scoring 135 defensive points. He was in on 35 tackles with 25 of those being unassisted. He led the defense with 4 interceptions and 5 break-ups. He also caused one fumble. He followed up his junior season with an exceptional senior year. In 2011 Chris recorded 206 defensive points. He was in on 81 tackles with 55 of them coming unassisted. He also made two interceptions and recorded one caused fumble. His efforts on defense earned him First Team All-Western League honors and a selection to the Alex Spanos  All-Star Football Classic as a member of the South team. Chris was also voted a Team Captain his senior year. Chris' career totals for a defensive back also earned him a spot in the La Jolla Vikings football record book. Chris finished his Viking career sixth all-time for season tackles with 55 and eleventh all-time for career tackles with 80. He finished fourth all-time for career interceptions with 6. Chris' 206 defensive points places him eighth all-time for season points by a defensive back. His 341 career points ranks twelfth all-time for his position.  Chris was also an outstanding student and was a two-time member of the Union-Tribune All-Academic team. Chris will always be remembered for his passion for the game and his intense play on the field. He will also go down in history as one of the all-time Viking greats at a position that has some of the best players in the history of  the Star Chamber and San Diego County football.
