A graduate of the class of 2001, Jimmy was a talented running back who had to deal with tremendous adversity throughout his varsity career. A varsity starter since his sophomore year, Jimmy was invited to join the Star Chamber as an 11th man in 2000. In his first varsity season Jimmy rushed for 413 yards on 71 carries. He opened his junior year rushing for 233 yards on 46 carries and scored two touchdowns but his promising junior year was cut short by a season ending knee injury after two games.

Not discouraged by this injury, Jimmy demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and determination. He returned his senior year to rush for 929 yards on 150 carries and scored 11 touchdowns. Jimmy also contributed to the Viking defense as an outside linebacker by scoring 68 defensive points. He was in on 14 tackles, recorded 2 sacks, 2 hurries and one interception. He also caused one fumble and recovered two others. Jimmy finished his Viking career with 1,575 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns. His senior year Jimmy was selected Offensive Back of the Year by his teammates and was a Second Team All League selection.
