I am sending this letter to you as a means of extending an invitation to become a member of the Star Chamber. The active members met and selected you as a teammate that they would like to have as a part of the group. Special invitations are extended by the Star Chamber to players who we feel can make a special contribution to both the team and the Star Chamber.

All of the active members of the Star Chamber respect the hard work that you put forth on and off the field. They also know that this coming year will be very challenging as you attempt to come back from your knee injury. This will be a very demanding task but we know you can do it because you have the right attitude and determination to get the job done. Still, the Star Chamber wants to offer you the additional support that can only help when your teammates make an effort to lighten your burden with physical and psychological encouragement. Together you will make it all the way back.

Members who receive this type of invitation are referred to as “Q” in our Star Chamber web site (www.ixpres.com/starchamber). You are part of a group of players we call the “11^th man.” The 11^th man (or men) are players that we feel have the skill and leadership qualities that will help us get to our ultimate destination, the stadium or as it is also known “The Q.”

When you get a chance to take a look at the Star Chamber files you will find yours under “Q” in the table of contents. There you will find a personal biography noting your contributions to our program. A copy of this letter will be placed under the section listed as special invitations to join. You should also take a look at the other materials that are there. Especially important is the section for special responsibilities. This file includes the things that I feel are critical if we are to find individual and team success. In the Gallery of Stars you will find former members of the Secret Society who have gone on to find success on the next level. Included are a couple players who had to overcome injuries like you and were able to get the job done.

Mike Stidman is the leader of the Star Chamber this year. He will be able to help you with any Star Chamber related matter. Welcome to the group. We are very happy to have you in the Star Chamber.
